No? Not really your cup of tea? Really
looking for something in a new
red car, more than a used drag racer?

Okay, how about a red 2011 Jaguar XJ Supersport fully equipped
with a 5.0 Liter V8 Supercharged engine that will crank out 510
horsepower can be all yours by visiting your local Jaguar dealer
and pushing over $113,200. Of course that is the Manufacturer's
Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) and doesn't include the $875 destination
and delivery charge, taxes, title, license, emissions and other
local fees. Even though the manufacturer sets a suggested retail
price, actual dealer price may vary.
But if that is too rich for your blood, you could opt for the
red XJ stripped down. It comes with a stock 5.0 liter V8 engine
that will provide 385 horsepower and only set you back $72,700.
Or you could buy a three bedroom house in Arkansas on a half-acre
of property for the same amount. Okay, back to the red car prices.
If it is a sport utility vehicle you're shopping for, a new red
Jeep Wrangler SUV will cost you about $22,000; a Commander - the
full sized Jeep offering will go for somewhere between $31,000
to $42,000.
The compact car market will let you keep a little more cabbage
in your savings account, if you do not mind the smaller size.
Not only will the upfront cost be less, but due to increased gas
mileage expected from smaller cars you will also save over the
long run on the cost of fuel. The 2011 Chevrolet Aveo has a base
MSRP of $11,965 to $15,365.
The import market offers many compact red car options, with the
Hyundai Accent producing one of the lowest base MSRP's at a mere
$9,970.
If you are looking for something in the alternative fuel market,
the 2011 Chevy Volt, even the red car price, will cost $32,780.
For you red car lovers, if the electric car is also your desire
you will have Crystal Red Metallic tintcoat as your color choice.
Keep in mind that the $32,780 MSRP is the price after tax savings.
It includes the full $7,500 federal tax savings tax credit.
If you would rather lease the Volt, with a $2,500 down payment
and $350 per month for 36 months you can enter GM's leasing program.
The MSRP for the lease deal is at the full cost of $40,280.
For that old favorite - the luxury car, Lincoln's Town Car, carries
a base MSRP of $46,925 to $52,595. If you are in the luxury SUV
market, the Lincoln Navigator has a slightly higher cost, coming
in with a base MSRP of $54,950 to 62,220, depending on which model
you choose.
